About the event
The Joseon Tongsinsa Festival is a spring festival in Busan that recreates the procession of the Joseon Tongsinsa, the peace missions sent to Japan during the Joseon dynasty. The Joseon Tongsinsa records are jointly inscribed by Korea and Japan on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, and the festival features a recreation of the traditional procession, parades and street performances. The 2025 festival was held free of charge from April 25 to 27 at various places in Busan, including Bukhang Waterfront Park.
