About the event
The 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Festival, which embodies the value of Mt. Geumjeongsan — newly designated a national park in 2026 — will be held for three days, from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18, at Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Square and around the fortress. It is a history, culture and arts festival based on Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, the representative cultural heritage of Geumjeong-gu, Busan Metropolitan City and the largest mountain fortress in Korea, and on Geumjeongsan National Park, and is held every year to commemorate the building of the fortress. Continuing from the Geumjeong Art Festival that began in 1996, the festival this year presents Geumjeong's fresh appeal through a variety of programs that blend the ecology and nature of Geumjeongsan National Park with the history and culture of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress.
