Mapo Myeonok
About the restaurant
Mapo Myeonok is a popular milmyeon restaurant in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun. The soy sauce-based broth is good, and the chewy Gijang milmyeon noodles are cooked just right. Most restaurants give you a spoonful of seasoning sauce to stir in, but here they coat the noodles with just a little. Mapo Myeonok's milmyeon costs the same regardless of size, whether regular, medium or large, and comes in two types: mul milmyeon (in broth) and bibim milmyeon (mixed with sauce). Steamed mandu and galbitang are also popular dishes. The interior is fairly spacious, and Imnang Beach, Eunjinsa Temple and the Park Tae-joon Memorial Hall are nearby, making them great to visit together.
