Ihwajang Raw Fish Restaurant

Ihwajang Raw Fish Restaurant, Gijang Daebyeon Port branch, is a raw fish restaurant famous for anchovy sashimi and anago (conger eel) sashimi. You can enjoy ssambap made with anchovies, a Gijang specialty, together with straw-fire-grilled hagfish, and with fresh seafood, sashimi and a variety of dishes available, it is also well known as a place for group dinners. The anchovy sashimi, in which large anchovies are tossed with cabbage and perilla leaves in chojang (spicy vinegar gochujang), is excellent, sweet and sour yet clean-tasting, while the hagfish is appealing for its fresh, chewy texture. The first floor is used for the aquarium and kitchen, and the dining hall is on the second floor with a great view, making it a nice place to eat while taking in the wide-open view of Daebyeon Port.
