Seomyeon Galbi Alley

Seomyeon Meokja Alley (서면 먹자골목) is Busan's largest and most diverse dining strip, packed with hundreds of restaurants stretching around Seomyeon Station. The galbi (short rib) specialists are the star attraction — charcoal-grilled pork and beef ribs that arrive sizzling on traditional iron grates, paired with a full spread of banchan, doenjang jjigae, and cold dongdongju rice wine. The thick-cut ribs are marinated overnight in soy, garlic, and pear, then grilled to caramelized perfection. The alley is busiest Thursday through Saturday evenings, when Busan's nightlife crowd pours out of Lotte and Hyundai after shopping. Ideal for groups of all sizes — most galbi restaurants have private rooms.
