Taejongdae Overview
Taejongdae Resort Park is a coastal scenic spot at the southernmost tip of Busan, located at 24 Jeonmang-ro, Yeongdo-gu, featuring lush forests at an altitude of 250m and steep coastal cliffs that form a magnificent view. Its name is derived from the legend that King Taejong Muyeol of Silla enjoyed archery here, and the rocks and cliffs carved by waves over long years are spectacular.
You can travel the 4km loop road on the Danubi Train (adult 4,000 won, child 2,000 won) or walk. The train departs from the Taejongdae entrance, circulating through Observatory→Yeongdo Lighthouse→Taejongsa Temple→entrance, and you can freely get off and reboard at each stop. The train is closed every Monday.
Main attractions include the Observatory (coastal cliff panorama), Yeongdo Lighthouse (built in the Joseon Dynasty), Sinseon Rock (rocky coast), and Taejongsa Temple (temple, famous for spring cherry blossoms). Walking the loop takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
