Bogwangsa Temple (Busan) Overview
Boeongsa is a temple of the Chogye Order of Korean Buddhism located in Beomil-dong, Dong-gu, Busan Metropolitan City. It is a temple built in the modern era and features clean internal facilities, providing visitors with convenient access to a mountain from the city. In the Daewongjeon of Boeongsa, a wooden Amida Triad Buddha statue made around the 18th century is enshrined and is in good preservation condition. It is believed to have been carved by a sculptor from the Seonan school. The principal Buddha is Amida Buddha, and the left and right bodhisattvas on either side are Guanyin and Dasejibodhisattva, all composed of three figures.
