Namdo Ocean Train (S-train) Overview

The Namdo Ocean Tourist Train S-train is a tourist train linking Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeollanam-do. The "S" in S-train comes from the first letter of "sea" and also depicts the curving Gyeongjeon Line and the ria coastline of the south coast. It aims to offer a happy, comfortable slow train journey that connects the region's outstanding natural scenery with the rich culture of Namdo (the southern provinces). The train's exterior is decorated with lyrical symbols depicting the many islands of the southern sea and the waves of its deep blue water. It has four passenger cars: Car 1 is a healing room, Car 2 a tea ceremony room, Car 3 a family room, and Car 4 an event room with bicycle racks. The train runs on the Jeolla Line, passing Seoul, Seodaejeon, Jeonju, Suncheon and Yeosu, and on the Gyeongjeon Line, which connects Gwangju Songjeong, Beolgyo, Suncheon, Jinju, Masan, Gupo and Busan Station. Operating times can be checked with KORAIL.
