Cheongsapo Railroad Tracks Overview

Cheongsapo, known for its clear seawater, is a small fishing port located below Dalmagigogae Pass. It is a village where the sorrowful legend of the Mangbusong (Pine Tree of the Waiting Wife) is told—a wife who waited for her husband who left for the sea and never returned, until she turned into a pine tree. The Cheongsapo Railway Trail is an urban walking trail that follows the coastline, utilizing the abandoned route of the Donghae Nambu Line. Depending on the direction of the trail, it serves as a nationally recognized photo spot and trekking location where representative tourist sites such as Gwangan Bridge, Dalmaji, and Marine City can be seen at a glance. The old railway facilities of the Donghae Nambu Line have been eco-friendlyly redeveloped, and the Haeundae Beach Train and Haeundae Sky Capsule are operated along the coastal scenery. The Beach Train is a tourist train that combines transportation functions, running round-trip from Haeundae Mipo to Songjeong via Cheongsapo while enjoying the beautiful view of Dongbusan. The Haeundae Sky Capsule is a romantic capsule that automatically operates the section from Haeundae Mipo to Cheongsapo, allowing passengers to view the mysterious coastal scenery from an aerial rail.
