Daeyeon Arboretum Overview
Daeyeon Su-mok-jan-si-won is a green space that surrounds the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea with a 50m width. It is connected to the Peace Park at the back. It has excellent accessibility to major tourist attractions in Busan Metropolitan City, such as the Busan Metropolitan City Museum and the UN Park. Originally established and operated as a nursery, it was renovated in 2002 to allow family-based natural experiences and was renamed Daeyeon Su-mok-jan-si-won and opened to the public. Approximately 600 species of trees are displayed in designated sections according to plant ecology, including the Herb Garden, Coniferous Forest Garden, Oryukdo Garden, Wall Garden, Deciduous Tree Garden, Evergreen and Broadleaf Tree Garden, Cypress Garden, Orchid Variety Garden, and the Cypress Tree Garden. A trail has been carefully maintained among these gardens, allowing visitors to stroll leisurely and enjoy the plants.
