Gongsu Fishing Experience Village Overview
Gijang-gun, Sirang-ri, Songjeong Beach, Busan's Dongnae and Haeundae areas are connected, and Gijang-gun's central region is traversed by the Donghae Southern Line and National Route 14, providing very convenient transportation conditions. The village name "Gongso" originates from the presence of Gongso-jeon (a field established during the Goryeo Dynasty to cover expenses such as building repairs, official travel, and hospitality for officials). Because of the Gongso-jeon, the village acquired the name "Gongso." During the Joseon Dynasty, under King Gwanghae, the area was known as Gongso Fish Village in Gijang-gun's Namcheon; after Gijang-gun was merged into Dongnae-gun in 1914, it became the Gongso Village in Sirang-ri, Gijang.
