Mipo Port Overview

Mipo Port is a small harbor at the eastern end of Haeundae Beach, bustling from early morning with small fishing boats unloading fish caught in nearby waters and people at the wharf buying fish and seafood. It is a port with modest, everyday scenes of fishermen mending their nets and nets drying in the sun. Featured in the film 'Haeundae' as the place where the male and female leads ran a restaurant and a pojangmacha (street tent bar), Mipo Port is also a popular spot for enjoying raw fish and a glass of soju while looking out at the sea. Right above Mipo Port runs the Donghae Nambu Line railway track that recently appeared on a variety show. More and more people come here to walk along the tracks, which normally cannot be walked on, while taking in the wide-open sea. There is also a wharf where you can board the Haeundae sightseeing cruise, whose course takes in Mipo Port – Dongbaekseom Island – Gwangan Bridge – Igidae – Oryukdo. During the day you can look around in the cool sea breeze, and at night many people come here to board the cruise and see the night views around Haeundae. You can start the morning full of energy, relax in the leisurely midday and enjoy a spectacular sunset and night views.
