Jangansa Valley
Jangansa Valley Overview
Busan Gijang-gun Jangansa Temple Gorge is located beneath the 1,000-year-old temple Jangansa Temple, founded in 673 by Wonhyo Daesa of the Silla Dynasty. Here, fireflies that are only seen in pristine areas live, and lanterns are turned off from mid-July onward. Because of the advantage that the gorge is located near the Jangansa Temple Parking Lot, many tourists visit. At Jangansa Temple Gorge, camping and fires are prohibited to maintain a more comfortable environment, so it is a good place to simply lay out a mat and rest under a tree. You can enjoy fresh air emanating from the lush forest at the foot of Bulgongsan and stroll quietly.
