Sodubang Park Overview

'Sodubang' in the name of Sodubang Park is an old place name for Jeonggwan, which comes from its resemblance to a cauldron lid. This park is the representative forest park of Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, and is well used by residents, with Jeonggwan Museum, Jeonggwan Library, sports facilities such as a soccer field, and children's play facilities. The trail in Sodubang Park also has a red clay path for barefoot walking, making it great for walking barefoot, and foot-washing stations and dust blowers have been installed to increase residents' satisfaction. Gijang-gun maintains the red clay trail three times a week. The nature-friendly play facilities, where children can run and play, were created by introducing multidimensional content that combines play and education. They consist of three spaces on different levels—the Forest Learning Yard, the Forest Sensory Play Yard and the Forest Adventure Play Yard—and children move between the spaces using slides and slope play areas. In keeping with each space's concept, log crossings, a forest hut, forest tree crossings, a crawl-through play structure, a forest Indian house, hammocks, a water-drop play structure and a picnic area have been installed, and the ground is covered with wood chips and grass so that children can run and play happily and safely.
