Bungmatgol Food Alley

Bungmatgol means 'the alley of good restaurants in Jangjeon-dong, north of Pusan National University,' and it carries on the living history of the student eateries of Pusan National University. Between the newly built studio-apartment buildings near the university's north gate, old houses and some 20 old restaurants still remain, and the street of about 100 m lined with these restaurants is 'Bungmatgol.' In Bungmatgol, very old restaurants that have been around for 20 to 30 years and restaurants recently popular with students keep students well fed with affordable prices, generous portions and consistent flavors. In this alley of memories—the only place on Pusan National University's street of youth, where romance and youth intersect, that still connects the parents' generation with their children—regulars and new visitors keep coming today in search of those flavors.
