Daehang Fishing Experience & Recreation Village
Daehang Fishing Experience & Recreation Village Overview
On Gadeokdo Island, there are many beautiful mountains, including Gwacheoksan, Guksoobong, and Namsan (190m). Gwacheoksan has an altitude of 76m and housed a naval observation post during the Japanese colonial period. Guksoobong has an altitude of 268m and is composed of bizarre rocks. Historical sites on Gadeokdo Island include Daehang shell mounds and Oeyangpo shell mounds, and cultural heritage includes the Gadeokdo native camellia grove at Aegubagu Island (Busan Memorial No. 36). The scale of the Daehang shell mound is about 200 pyeong, and fragments of pottery from the Neolithic period without patterns were excavated. There are two Oeyangpo shell mounds, with scales of about 150 pyeong and 50 pyeong, respectively. As folklore, there are Chubara fish in Daehang village in Gadeokdo Island, and Daehang village operates a program where you can experience using traps. To go to Daehang village, if you go to the pier, you exit from Garak interchange on the Namhae Second Branch Expressway, go south along National Route 58, go west on National Route 2 at Songjeong-dong, and turn left at the Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center toward Gadeok Noksan pier. Gadeokdo Island is the largest island in Busan, with a legend that Boegaisan sank in the middle of the sea and then rose again. Starting from Yeondaesan (459.4m), the highest peak, numerous mountains are spread out. From the surrounding beaches connecting Nulcha and Dongseonsai to the northeast along the coastline, to the scenery of the seaside in front of Gido-won, to the wide gravel field at Daehang Saebaji to the southeast, and from Yongdooam Rock, the camellia grove and Aedong Island area and Dongdumal, and the bizarre rocks around the Gadeokdo Lighthouse, and turning to the southwest to Oeyangpo Beach, the long Solseom Island of Dumun, and the Cheonsu-mal Kobawi, Gadeokdo Island resembles the magnificent scenery of Haenggeumgang.
