Jeonggwan Museum
Jeonggwan Museum Overview
Jeonggwan Museum was built as a way to preserve and make use of national heritage that would otherwise disappear due to the Jeonggwan New Town development project. The permanent exhibition consists of 'Life in Sodubang,' which displays everyday artifacts excavated from Three Kingdoms-period village sites in the Gijang area; 'Memories of Sodubang,' which holds the stories of former residents who had no choice but to leave their village because of the new town development, the precious feelings contained in their donated items, and the history of Jeonggwan Museum; and an outdoor exhibition park that recreates a Three Kingdoms-period village so you can feel the atmosphere of the time. In addition, it has a 'Children's Experience Room,' the first among museums in the Busan area, where children can experience the joy of learning history through play. The museum also offers visitors a variety of things to see and hands-on activities related to history and culture through special exhibitions and educational programs.
