Dongnae-eupseong Fortress Imjin War History Museum Overview
Dongnae-eupseong Fortress Imjin War History Museum was established in 2005 when during excavation work at the construction site of Su-an Station, a sea wall defense facility from the Imjin War was discovered, leading to archaeological investigations. As a result, human remains and various weapons from the Imjin War period were unearthed, and in order to honor the history of the site, a museum was constructed within the Su-an Station History Building, where artifacts are exhibited. The History Museum houses 546 items of 23 types of replica and restored artifacts, including relics such as the Dongnae Fortress's fallen officials, iron armor, and helmets, which were excavated. It also operates a Dongnae-eupseong Fortress model, a video room, a trick art photo zone, and a VR experience zone. Cultural and tourism guides are on duty during operating hours, and visitors can request explanations from the guides.
