Banyeo Library Overview
Busan Banyeo Library is a Library located in Banyeo-dong, Haeundae-gu, and opened in November 1999 as a knowledge and information center to satisfy the local residents' information education and knowledge-seeking needs. The first floor consists of a first resource room where users can access general literature, social sciences, literature, and history books, a periodical room where users can access journals and newspapers, and a children's room that houses picture books and fairy tale books for young children and toddlers. The second floor consists of a second resource room where users can access philosophy, religion, natural science, pure science, and art books, a digital resource room where users can access various e-books and audiovisual materials, conduct internet searches, and create documents, a general reading room, and a lounge area, and on the first basement floor there is an audiovisual room and a shop. Banyeo Library establishes a new reading culture and develops lifelong education programs that allow people from various social strata to come together, thereby performing the role of a comprehensive cultural center, and provides new knowledge and information through general education lectures, and helps children and adolescents develop proper reading habits through library usage education, thus contributing to the formation of a healthy library culture.
