Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Student Character Education Institute

An education institute where you learn through experience, the Busan Metropolitan City Student Education Institute sits on Geumjeongsan Mountain, Busan's guardian mountain, which has beautiful natural scenery, was a training ground for the Silla hwarang who achieved the great feat of unifying the Three Kingdoms, and is home to Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. This place is a sacred site of the nation where our ancestors built a mountain fortress and defended the country during the Imjin War, and as a living educational venue that can awaken love for the country and the spirit of defending the homeland in young people, it runs character-building and camping training activities for high school students under the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education. Its main programs are community experience activities, endurance training and cultivating a noble, generous spirit, and use of the facilities is free.

Its main events are a three-day, two-night character-building program or a two-day, one-night camping program held from April to October for middle and high schools in the city. The Busan Metropolitan City Student Education Institute is a large-scale institute with a total area of 179,180 m² and a building area of 14,812.51 m². This vast site is equipped with accommodation, assembly, sports and training facilities, allowing systematic experiential education for young people.
