Gupo Market is a large-scale traditional market that is hard to find in the city center. It is an area where trade developed early on because of the Gupo Naru on the Nakdonggang River basin, and it is a place with much exchange with nearby regions such as Yangsan, where the market was active. Gupo Market is a complex market where a permanent market and a periodic market coexist, and even now, on market days, you can see the scene of an old rural market bustling with people buying and selling freshly brought fruits and vegetables, various fish, and daily necessities. When you enter the market from Ssaji Park, which is the entrance to Gupo Market, there are shops selling vegetables, jeotgal, jokbal, and eomuk, and if you pass through here, you will come across seafood shops. Gupo Market has many famous market restaurants such as Gupo Noodles and Jangteo Gukbap, so you can fill your stomach and do your shopping.
