Seongamsa Temple
Seongamsa Temple Overview
Seongamsa Temple is a small temple located at the foot of Gal-mibong on Hwangnyeongsan Mountain. A large plum tree fills the temple complex, creating a vibrant landscape. Looking at the falling plum leaves beneath the tree gives the feeling of hearing a child's laughter. Kim Joo-dae, a poet, said that plum leaves resemble a baby's sole, and at that moment, people and the landscape become poetry. There is a legend that praying at Samseongjeon and Yongwangdang will result in having offspring. Plum blossoms begin to bloom around the time that jasmine flowers fade. It is important to visit before the flowers wither.
