About the event

The Busan Chinatown Special Zone Cultural Festival is held every October in the Chinatown of Dong-gu, across from Busan Station. It began in 2004 under the banner of a celebration where Korea and China come together. The festival features a street parade in traditional Chinese costume, performances such as face-changing (bian lian) and Peking opera, Chinese cultural experiences and tasting events at Chinese restaurants, and at night the street is decorated with red lanterns. The 2025 festival was held free of charge from October 17 to 19.
