Geumnyeonsan Mountain
Geumnyeonsan Mountain Overview
Geumnyeonsan Mountain is a mountain located at the boundary of Yeonje-gu, Suyeong-gu, and Nam-gu of Busan Metropolitan City. It is named after its shape resembling a lotus flower. Geumnyeonsan Mountain hosts the Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Center, Busan Citizen Astronomical Observatory, the Mayor of Busan, and the Busan Metropolitan City Local Government Officers' Training Center. At the summit area of the mountain, there is a telecommunications tower, and the area is easily accessible by car, making it a popular destination for both citizens and tourists. From here, one can have a good view of Busan Port, Gwangalli Beach, and Gwangan Bridge. It is said that there used to be temples named Banyam and Baramilida Temple on Geumnyeonsan Mountain, but today only traces of the temple sites remain.
