Daecheon Park Overview

Daecheon Park is a civic park created to provide a cultural and leisure space alongside the development of the new city area in Haeundae-gu. A well-equipped Trail runs along the perimeter of Daechunho Lake, and facilities for children are also provided. In particular, what captures the attention of visitors to Daecheon Park is a large symbolic sculpture praying for abundant fish catches and Daechunho Lake, an artificial lake. Half of the lake showcases the urban landscape densely packed with apartments, while the other half reveals the scenic forest view of Mount Jangsan. Many citizens take walks around the lake in the morning and evening, and during the day, family visits enjoying leisure time with children are common. Pavilions and benches for resting are located throughout the park, and there is an outdoor stage and a plaza. Convenience facilities such as snack bars and restrooms are also well-equipped. Nearby attractions include Buhung Park, Dongbaekseom Island, Haeundae Dalmaji Hill Park, and Cheongsapo.
