Seunghaksan Mountain
Seunghaksan Mountain Overview
Seunghaksan Mountain is located to the west of Gudeoksan and Siyaksan mountains, in the back mountain of Dangni-dong. The summit of Seunghaksan Mountain divides Saha-gu and Sasang-gu. There is a legend that during the late Goryeo period, Mu-hak Daesa, a Buddhist monk, traveled throughout the country to observe mountain landscapes, and upon arriving at this location, he found the mountain's terrain strict and majestic, resembling a school of learning, thus the name Seunghaksan Mountain was given. The golden-leaf plant at the summit of Seunghaksan Mountain is famous for its beauty and is considered the finest experience for hiking during autumn, attracting many hikers. The main attractions of Seunghaks in Seunghaksan Mountain include the golden-leaf plant cluster area, Jejeok-gol forest park, white birch forest, three-leaf tree meditation and healing forest, weather observation station, sports facilities, viewing deck, stage facilities, and hiking trails. The hiking routes on Seunghaksan Mountain are diverse, but the hiking route starting from behind Dong-A University, passing through the summit of Seunghaksan Mountain, and ending at the flower village in Seodaesin-dong before continuing to Suunghaksan is a good hiking route that allows one to see the entire Busan cityscape at a glance.
