BIFF Square

BIFF Square (부산국제영화제 광장) in Nampo-dong is Busan's answer to Hollywood's Walk of Fame — a pedestrianized plaza embedded with over 100 handprint and footprint plaques of Korean and international film stars. Every October, the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) transforms this area into a red carpet extravaganza that draws A-list celebrities and cinephiles from around the world. Year-round, the square is a bustling hub with street food stalls (especially hotteok and tteokbokki), indie cinemas, vintage clothing shops, and cafés. At night, the alley's neon signs and open-air cinema screens create a cinematic atmosphere that is quintessentially Busan. BIFF Square connects seamlessly with Gukje Market, Jagalchi Market, and Nampo-dong shopping street.
