Gaegeum Alley Market Overview

Gaegeum Alley Market is a place where deteriorated shops gathered and began operations in the 1970s. The market opened in 1975 and was registered as a Traditional Market on April 28, 2005. Two construction projects for the arcade roof within the market were completed by 2007. The total floor area is 5,159㎡, and the market has a mixed commercial and residential structure. There are 194 shops selling fruits, vegetables, and miscellaneous goods. It is known that four former presidents have visited this market.
