Conquer Busan Completely in 3 Days and 2 Nights
Conquer Busan Completely in 3 Days and 2 Nights Overview
Busan is the port city with the most diverse charms in Korea. From the dazzling seas of Haeundae and Gwangalli, the alley art of Gamcheon Culture Village and the fresh seafood of Jagalchi Market to the serene mountain temple of Beomeosa Temple — in 2 nights and 3 days you can fully experience the essence of Busan.
Start the morning at Haeundae Beach. Walk along its 1.8 km of golden sand and enjoy Busan's best beach. If you stroll to Nurimaru APEC House on Dongbaekseom Island, you can see a superb view where the sea and the city skyline come together. In the afternoon, head to Dalmaji Hill to enjoy sea views from a café, then explore the Mipo Railway Cafe Street. Finish the evening with fresh raw fish and seafood in Haeundae's raw fish restaurant alley.
In the morning, visit Gwangalli Beach. With a clear view of Gwangan Bridge, it is much more relaxed than Haeundae and full of local atmosphere. Enjoy the sea with a cup of coffee at nearby Millak Waterfront Park. For lunch, enjoy Busan-style Dwaeji Gukbap or Milmyeon on Suyeong-gu's restaurant street. In the afternoon, take the subway to Nampo-dong. See the stars' handprints at BIFF Square and experience Busan's seafood culture at Jagalchi Market. Don't miss the food alley of Gukje Market, either — you can taste the essence of Busan street food, such as Ssiat Hotteok and Bibim Dangmyeon. In the evening, head back to Gwangalli to see Gwangan Bridge at night, or enjoy the night view of Bongnae Ferry Pier in Yeongdo.
On the morning of the last day, head to Gamcheon Culture Village. With colorful houses lined up in tiers like steps, it is Busan's signature photo spot. In the afternoon, move on to Taejongdae. Located at the southern tip of Yeongdo, Taejongdae is famous for its majestic cliffs, lighthouse and open views that reach as far as Tsushima on clear days. Take a cruise or ride the Danubi circular train to tour all of Taejongdae.
Subway Lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 connect Busan's main tourist attractions, so make good use of a 1-day subway pass. Nampo-dong is about 40 minutes from Haeundae by subway. Kakao T taxis and Tashu public bicycles are also useful.
Haeundae: A wide range of accommodations is concentrated here, from luxury hotels to hostels.
Gwangalli & Suyeong: Many sea-view lodgings, popular with young travelers.
Nampo-dong: Centered on tourist attractions, with convenient transportation.
